Guide To Ibiza

Ibiza is well known for its clubs and nightlife, but did you know it can also be a great destination for a family holiday too? The best thing about Ibiza is the wide range of attractions it offers along with the climate to match, so it is definitely somewhere you should consider.

If you didn’t know already, Ibiza is an island in the Mediterranean sea and therefore has a very warm a pleasant climate, as well as great beaches. It isn’t quite as hot at peak temperature as Mallorca but it is pretty close, and will nearly always provide you with good weather for your holiday.

On the other hand the winters are quite mild although you are likely to get some rain if you go during this time. Unlike the UK or the US though you will rarely get frost or snow, and it isn’t likely to be freezing temperatures.

I always advise that when you start thinking about buying a holiday you should make sure you know exactly how much you spend first. This avoids the disappointment of finding the perfect luxury villa in Ibiza only to realise that actually you can’t afford it anyway. It will also help you to narrow down the huge number of options that are available on the island.

The fact that you can get such cheap flights from budget airlines these days does make it easier to get a better holiday because not so much of your money is taken up with the cost of flying. Usually the earlier you book with budget flights the cheaper they will be so bear that in mind.

If you do decide to fly then once you get to the airport you will be met with plenty of companies that allow you to hire a car. It is often a good idea to rent one before you arrive though so you can look at reviews and get the best price. Make sure you check with the provided which documents you need.

On the other hand you can get to Ibiza via ferry from Barcelona depending on your tastes. It only takes a few hours and can be a lot of fun. When going to Ibiza you should always choose the transport that is going to be the least stressful, because there is nothing worse than having a bad journey to your holiday. If in doubt it is probably better to pay a bit extra and get good quality transport rather than going for the very cheapest if it isn’t going to be any good.

Have fun on your holiday in Ibiza, and remember that the island has plenty of things to see and is quite small, so don’t be afraid to leave your villa!
