Cabrinha Kite have been developed by Pete Cabrinha and the name is based on the developer. He has clinched world championship titles in three disciplines like surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing and his commitment to water sports has fetched him fame and name. But not just his passion and skill in these water sports events, there is more to the man than this. As an artist, Pete Cabrinha has combined his technical photography skills with his abstract painting techniques to create a lifestyle that today is lived above and below the Hawaiian waters. Therefore, it is not surprising that the kites that are named after him have become so sought after by all those who love adventure water sports. Actually, it is now quite fashionable to have a kite that has his name on it. These kiteboards are also the best in the industry.

Researched and developed at Maui in the island of Hawaii, these kiteboards and surfing equipment are rigorously tested by real people (and not machines) in extreme water and wind conditions to ensure that they are dead accurate. They also warranty that the design and the workmanship is not less than world class. In reality, majority of today’s kiteboards make use of the IDS technique that is Cabrinha’s property to achieve excellence, and this fact shows how much superior these kiteboards really are.

It is however essential that the right components are used to ensure that the efficiency is maximum. These include the bindings, harness and fins that are usually stowed carefully in a specially designed Cabrinha Bag as a total kiteboard package. So you must keep in mind to get them too with your Cabrinha Kite.

If you want to get a Cabrinha, here is the information you need about the various models.

?	Cabrinha 2009 Crossbow IDS W Bar/Lines has launched Cabrinha in a totally new panorama of Performance Freeriding by way of uplifting the method of kite control and handling. You can get it in varying sizes that range between 7M to 16M and the cost too ranges between $1600.00 and $2600.00.
?	Cabrinha 2009 Switchable IDS W Bar/Lines is the industry leader for wakestyle and freeriding. Now maneuvering it with full control has become a child’s play with the new Intelligent Depower System, that is commonly known as IDS. It is available in sizes from 4m to 14m and the price varies from $1379.00 to $1899.00.
?	Cabrinha 2009Convert IDS W Bar/Lines outshines all standards and styles of riding. Its size varies between 3.5m to 15m with its price also ranging between $1249.00 to $1749.00.

One cannot separate the kite from the kiteboard – they are linked with each other deeply. A kiteboard is worthless without the support of a kite, even if the kiteboard has been custom made from the best materials and is very expensive. The kite is the life force for the kiteboard and not the contrary. Hence, the sport lovers always spend time with the kiteboard kites.

Resourceful manufacturers take proper care that the needs of their customers are fulfilled. For example, let us take a look at Cabrinha kites. It is the result of Pete Cabrinha’s sheer hard work (whose devotion to water sports won him world titles in three famous events), that these kites are ideal for the most difficult situations. Thus, people can’t stop falling in love with Cabrinha kites.

The kiteboard manufacturing giants North Kiteboarding and Slingshot are among the most sought after in the world as they make kiteboard kites which sails through the roughest waters very easily. Slingshot’s new RPM kites that incorporate the latest IDS system which stands for Intelligent Depower System have revolutionized the kite making industry in the true sense of the word.

Spleene also sees to it that their kites are high on performance. Every type of kite is available from them – the one’s for the learners to those that are meant for the experts. Many, who feared to try out this adventure water sport with the fear of being a victim of an accident have now taken a step forward and tried their luck and skill with the help of their trainer kites and instructional videos.

Here are a few top rated kites that have created history in the realm of kiteboarding.

Slingshot RPM 10 m is the latest range of kites which has been introduced by the company. Capable of delivering exceptional performance and yet excelling at ‘unhooked freestyle’ riding, the RPM has few competitors.
Slingshot Rev – 7Meters is creating ripples among the pro players and the lovers of the game as it is a hybrid kite with great benefits, high-class consistency, superb reaction mode, sparkling efficiency and smooth maneuverability.
Cabrinha Switchblade IDS 14 m is a sensation among the elites like C-Kite riders and they profess their clear cut preference for these great kiteboard kites. Lofty big jumps are easily done to perfection with the help of this kite and its stability and smooth pull boosts up the confidence and gives poise to riders of any level. Testers have confirmed that the Cabrinha Switchblade IDS is ranged as one of the top three models for ‘unhooked freestyle’ riding. It is very easy to adapt with this and it can also be carried easily as well.

A kite surf boards is similar to a surfboard or a wakeboard having a platform with straps attached to it to keep the rider steady while a kite, aided by strong wind, pulls him/her through the water at an incredible speed. But the popularity of the sport is not very old – it has caught on only since the 90’s. You can even say that there is a little bit of windsurfing, surfing and wakeboarding in kiteboarding. The fact is, it might be easier to pick up kiteboarding as compared to windsurfing and surfing and this is why you will surely find a few people trying their skills at it, after just a lesson or two from a certified instructor. For kiteboarding you will need quite a few things like the a control bar with lines, an impact jacket, a helmet that will protect you, a harness and also a sharp knife to cut the rope when the wind becomes quite wild – and of course you will need the board.

Despite safety measures taken adequately, kiteboarding may sometimes pose hazards. But if you take some instructions from a professional, you will able to minimize most of these risks associated with kiteboarding. From these kiteboarding or kite surfing institutions you will be able to learn about the various skills involved that includes flying, learning to launch the kite, jumping/landing, using the control bar properly, lines and the safety measures too.

You will find that turning is a very common trick in kiteboarding. One basic act done by a trainee is to first put the kite in neutral, sink it back towards the water, and finally turning the kite in the opposite direction and doing it once more. A Heel Turn Jibe is a more skilful turn which is achieved by abruptly slowing down, flattening the kite surf boards and then reversing it flat on the water by moving the rear foot around downwind that eventually makes it the new leading foot. This is naturally a great move because the kite’s direction is reversed and the board’s route swings in a half circle while it is centered on the kite.

But if the kiteboarder fails to manage the move expertly, then the person may fly and fall down because he/she would not be able to bring down the board in the correct angle. What is needed here is a safety measure like the deadman system wherein a sharp knife that is a part of the kiteboarder’s essential equipment is used.

Are you someone who cannot live without adventure sport – if this is you, then what you need is the kite surf boards. But to thoroughly enjoy the great sport of kiteboarding, you first need the right equipment, because your safety is the biggest priority. When you have ensured this, you can be sure that you will begin to enjoy kiteboarding.

For those who like to experience sporting action to the extreme and like living on the edge, kiteboarding is a natural choice for them. The fact is, there are very few sporting activities as exciting as kiteboarding, those who have tried this once are sure to agree with this. If you are constantly feeling a need for speed and dying for a real thrill ride, kiteboarding is the thing for you. However to enjoy the sport, you will need proper kiteboarding gear.

If you are among those who do not yet know what kiteboarding actually means, let me tell you that it is an extreme sport using powerful, controllable kites to propel riders on in-line skates, off-road skates or mountain boards at speeds up to 60 mph across parking lots, dry lakes, grassy fields and sandy beaches. Kiteboarding started in the early part of the 90’s when sport kite enthusiasts began kite skating, or Rollerkiting, at festivals along the Eastern Coast of USA. Large and vacant parking lots were the most popular venue for practicing this sport in those early days. Early kiteskating attempts involved the use of Rollerblades and four-line controllable kites that were made of parafoil.

But now this sport’s popularity is not limited to just the US, it has spread to other parts of the world as well. However yes, most of the kite boarders are still from the USA. There has been many changes and improvements in the area of kiteboarding gear in recent times and those who follow the sport are loving this.

The subsequent kite buggy explosion however saw a waning of the general interest and enthusiasm over kiteboarding. However, it made a powerful comeback in 1992 under the pioneering efforts of Bob Childs who built a pair of off-road in-line skates using Rollerblade boots and scooter wheels, named the ‘Wheels of Doom’, which proved very effective in reigniting the general interest in kiteboarding. Kite Skaters have been joined by ATB skateboard riders in recent years. Kite Skateboarding daredevils use mountain-boards to zip around on multi-terrain surfaces, usually at a lesser speed than Kite Skaters.

Today, quality equipment for kiteboarding is not very hard to find – actually you can get them at both your local sports shop and the Internet. Do please remember that in order to ensure maximum safety, one must always insist on the best quality gear that will live up to the rigorous demands of the sport. Like most other sports, the quality of the equipment that you are using will have a significant bearing upon your performance. And also please ensure that the equipment you are selecting will be indeed able to keep you safe, because this of course is more important. Thus, it is always a good idea to first know more about your kiteboarding gear, and also find out the best places to get them from.

There are very few things on Earth that can get your adrenaline going as much as kiteboarding does. Kiteboarding is the perfect activity for all those extreme adventure sport enthusiasts who love living life on the edge. If you are constantly feeling a need for speed and dying for a real thrill ride, kiteboarding is the thing for you. For those who are yet to taste its pleasure, kiteboarding is an extreme sport that uses powerful, controllable kites to propel riders on in-line skates, off-road skates or mountain boards at speeds up to 60 mph across parking lots, open spaces, deserts, fields and beaches. But to truly enjoy the sport, you will need some kiteboarding equipment.

Kiteboarding first came to light in the early part of the 90’s when sport kite enthusiasts began kite skating, or Rollerkiting, at festivals along the Eastern Coast of USA. Large parking lots were among the most popular venues for these early kiteskating efforts. However with the increasing popularity of kiteboarding, people outside the USA also participate in this sport these days. In those pioneering days, kiteskating involved using Rollerblades and four-line controllable parafoil kites for a fast and thrilling ride.

However the general interest over kiteboarding began to wane in the following years due to the advent of kite buggy racing. It, however, made a comeback in 1992, thanks to the pioneering efforts of Bob Childs who built a pair of off-road in-line skates using Rollerblade boots and scooter wheels, which reignited the general interest in kiteboarding again. There has been an increase in the number of people asking for kiteboarding equipment since then as the sport has become more popular.

Over the last few years, the equipment used in the sport have undergone many changes and improvements. Today, if you wish to buy good quality equipment, you can easily get them at the local sports superstore or on the Internet as well. Do remember that in order to ensure maximum safety, you must always insist on the best quality gear that will live up to the rigorous demands of the sport.

It is always worth remembering that the quality of your kiteboarding equipment will determine your performance to a large extent. Using high quality equipment will on the one hand uphold the quality and on the other hand, ensure that you will be safe. Kite skaters today have found a new partner in ATB skateboard riders. Kite skateboarding daredevils travel on mountain-boards to speed around on multi-terrain surfaces, usually at a lesser speed than Kite Skaters. However, kite skateboarding offers a better opportunity for performing jump tricks and other trick moves.

A number of men and women all over the world consider kiteboarding as an example of an extreme sport. For those who like to experience extreme sporting action and like living on the edge, kiteboarding is a natural choice for them. If you are constantly feeling a need for speed and dying for a real thrill ride, kiteboarding is the thing for you. But to truly enjoy the sport, you will need some kite boards.

Kiteboarding started in the early part of the 90’s when sport kite enthusiasts began kite skating, or Rollerkiting, at festivals along the Eastern Coast of USA. The most popular venues for displaying their skills were the various large parking lots dotting the land. The popularity of the sport has since then increased and crossed the shores of the US, and today you will come across people taking part in other places as well. In those pioneering days, kiteskating involved using Rollerblades and four-line controllable parafoil kites for a fast and thrilling ride.

The subsequent kite buggy explosion saw a waning of the general interest and enthusiasm over kiteboarding. With an increase in its popularity, more and more people has been asking for equipment for kiteboarding since then.

Tremendous improvements have been made in the field of kiteboarding in recent years, especially in the equipment. Today, if you wish to buy good quality equipment, you can easily get them at the local sports superstore or on the Internet as well. Do remember that in order to ensure maximum safety, you must always insist on the best quality equipment for kiteboarding that will live up to the rigorous demands of the sport.

Like every other sport, performance depends substantially on the quality of the equipment for kiteboarding that you are using. The quality should be as good as possible for two reasons – for the best performance and also for your safety. Recently, ATB skateboard riders have joined the league of kite skaters. Kite skateboarders these days are often seen using mountain-boards on multi-terrain surfaces, usually moving at a slower speed than Kite Skaters. Nonetheless, kite skateboarding usually provides a better opportunity for performing jump tricks.

How to kiteboard

Yehaa baby, it’s finally time for that much needed vacation and what better than trying something totally new such as Kite surfing. The very first thing I did was just jump on Google and search the Internet for some qualified instructor where I was staying who also ran a regular kite boarding school. If you’re going to be honest with yourself, and why not, then the safest way to learn anything is having someone there who has been there, done it and knows how to handle themselves in any situation you are most likely to face in the real world when you are alone by yourself.

Once you find the school that you think will teach you what you want to know (make sure the instructors are certified) then book your vacation accordingly. Kiteboarding To begin with, I personally wouldn’t bother trying to invest into any type of equipment until you meet your instructor as you may be buying in appropriate stuff which wouldn’t benefit you yet and you may end up causing more harm than good.

I’m guessing that any of you reading this who hasn’t tried any type of water sport, especially kite surfing is guessing this must be pretty easy. Ha, think again buddy, because nothing could be such a mistake. Just a few hours of good solid tuition can make the world of difference to both your technique and I think more importantly, your confidence. After some good old practicing there is no reason why you won’t take to it like a duck on water and make making steady progress fast. However, before we get ahead of ourselves, be prepared to put the effort in to get this fantastic sport handled. There are definitely some tricks to it, so spend the time up front learning to save face and avoid any accidents later.

With kite surfing you get pulled through the water on a surf or kite board and there two different kinds of boards. There is Kite boarding which many of the more seasoned kite enthusiasts would call freestyle, and then there’s wave riding, otherwise known as kite surfing. It’s good to at least get that down in your head so you can have a mental think about what appeals to you more and takes your fancy.

Don’t just think it’s only the boards you gotta choose between. Nope, the kites vary enormously too which makes thinks much more interesting. So once again, ask your instructor about the differences and why you need to use one versus another. You might find that you just want to get the basics down with one of them first before trying the other option out but make sure you get all the help and tuition you can afford as it will make the world of difference. Check out Kiteboarding camp for more information.
