Paris is one of the most well known cities and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the entire world. Paris is a busy city with a reasonably large population of around ten million with over two million residing in the centre. The number of people that live in Paris means it is a well traveled city.

Paris has the unique pleasure of being the international capital of fashion and art and when fashions are launched, it is normally from this city. This is also a city know for its associated with art and world famous artists with galleries and museums to please even the most discerning of visitors.

If you are planning a trip to Paris there are three landmarks that you must save time for but there are of course many more attractions than just those three, but these are the big ones. The three I refer to are The Arch de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Theater which cannot be missed even if they each have many hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

If you are a museum lover then you could spend days wandering around the tens of thousands of exhibits in the Louvre just like hundreds of other tourists. Some of the most well known paintings and works of art are either stored or displayed here including the infamous Mona Lisa which is just one reason to visit.

As far as the weather is concerned, most tourists are lucky and can visit at any time of the year without to many worries about any form of extreme weather. For example the normal winter temperature is in the upper 30′s to lower 40′s degrees Fahrenheit which means it is still comfortable to walk around and in the summer months this rises to a more pleasant 75 degrees Fahrenheit which means you will never really overheat while visiting attractions.

If you are flying to Paris, you will land at one of the two airports it currently has but will probably be the Roissy-en-France airport as it one of the busiest international airports in the world. As Roissy-en-France is so large it is able to have direct flights both incoming and outgoing to most of the international destinations.

All types of people like to visit Paris and it is not difficult to see why as it promises something for everyone with an air of culture that should not be missed. It would be hard to visit Europe at any time without spending a few days in Paris which is a city that has something for every imaginable taste.

However Paris is a beautiful city to visit, you should also try out Amsterdam. Not as big as Paris, but very much alive. Be sure to prepare your stay and book an apartment in Amsterdam before you leave home.
